Joseph Parks is a frequent speaker/presenter at the local, regional and state level on a wide variety of topics of interest to school districts, HR professionals, law enforcement agencies and others. He is particularly skilled in taking new or complex legal or regulatory requirements and presenting the material in a way that attendees clearly understand real-world, practical application of the information. He regularly develops seminars of wide interest resulting from legislative changes or identified best practices, and also develops custom training and presentations based upon his client's needs. Joe is a TEA Registered Provider of continuing education training for school board members. He can develop and present training for your organization's leadership and other work groups on a wide variety of legal and other topics.

Joseph Parks can assist your school district with solutions and counsel in school safety, security, emergency preparedness and a number of other operations-related matters. Joseph Parks served for more than a decade as the Executive Director of Safety and Security Services for one of Texas' largest school districts spanning 100 square miles with 74 campuses located in 5 different cities and serving over 55,000 students. As such, he has extensive experience in all things school safety-related and likely has experience with an issue your district is currently facing or will face in the future.

Independent Investigation of All Types of Employee Misconduct or Serious Incidents
A prompt, thorough and impartial investigation into workplace misconduct and other adverse events is crucial to any organization. Joseph Parks has extensive experience conducting and managing investigations into a wide variety of employee misconduct, policy violations, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistle-blower claims, fraud and misappropriation of company property. He has significant experience investigating allegations that arise in school districts, including including violations the Educator Code of Ethics, improper use of restraint, improper educator-student relationship, and cases involving a parallel investigation by DFPS and/or law enforcement.

Properly drafted policies and procedures are crucial to effective and efficient operation of any organization. Joseph Parks has extensive experience developing policies and procedures addressing a wide range of operational requirements and functions, especially those affecting school districts (TASB model policies), workflow, safety, security, emergency preparedness and legal compliance.
